MY COUNTRY,'TIS OF THEE?

Was America founded on Christian principles, or were its earliest settlers and leaders more interested in gold, than God? Were the signers of the Declaration of Independence and Revolutionary leaders firm Christians, or Enlightenment Deists? What did the writers of the Constitution intend when they instituted a separation of church and state? We will examine America’s Christian heritage from its founding to the mid-19th century, including God’s intervention at critical moments, as well as the implications these things have for us today.

Rebecca Price Janney will draw upon her writings, including Great Events in America History and Great Stories in American History.

A COMPARISON OF SAMUEL/KINGS TO CHRONICLES
Led by John Craymer in Room 104
The two accounts of the kings of Israel and Judah in the Bible call our inquisitive minds to ask:  1. Why are there two accounts?  2. What makes one account distinctive from the other?  Come join this study of Samuel(s), Kings and Chronicles where we will let the Holy Scriptures in concert with the Holy Spirit teach us what made the God inspired writers include these two historical narratives.

BIBLE FELLOWSHIP GROUP

This is an open forum type discussion group covering a wide variety of topics from the Bible as a whole.   Come with questions or items for discussion or simply interact with the topics and scripture presented.   It will be possible to make up the class as we go along.   The only material which will be used will be God’s Word,  the Bible, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
