Adult Christian Education
March 2 – March 23 at 9:45 a.m.
Led by Kevin Bunkin in Fellowship Hall
The course will take us on a biblical journey to understand the Jewishness of Jesus and his disciples. We will discuss several provocative questions to gain an understanding on why there is such distance between the Jewish community and Christians. What happened in our history to cause such great division when biblically we should be perfectly aligned? We will rediscover who the biblical Jesus is, and examine what the scripture says about how Jews and Christians alike are expected to respond to God's love.
A STUDY OF TITUS AND II TIMOTHY
Led by Bill McClain in Rooms 105/106
In these two epistles of Paul, he stresses the need to guard the gospel, to persevere in it, to keep on preaching it, and if necessary to suffer for it. He also speaks of the link between faith and practice and belief and behavior.
Join this basic Bible study as we learn how to apply this teaching of Paul to Titus and Timothy to our lives today.
GROWING IN THE FAITH
Led by Janet and Frank Seydel in Room 104
This course will encourage daily habits of prayer, Bible intake, scripture memorization, and accountability as we continue to grow in the Christian faith. As well, believers will learn the importance of witnessing, Christian fellowship, service, and faithful church attendance. Believers at any stage of the Christian life will profit from this course.
BIBLE FELLOWSHIP GROUP
Led by Nick and Marilyn Furcola in Room 107
This is an open forum type discussion group covering a wide variety of topics from the Bible as a whole. Come with questions or items for discussion or simply interact with the topics and scripture presented. It will be possible to make up the class as we go along. The only material which will be used will be God’s Word, the Bible, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
**Two new classes will begin on March 30. Bruce Clydesdale and others will lead a class on the lessons learned from the church's trip to Israel in 2013 and Bob Eppley will lead a class on “The Faith of the Presidents.” More detail about these classes will be in the weekly church bulletins and the April Carillon.
