SR. FELLOWSHIP LUNCHEON
Tuesday, February 21, 12 Noon
Do you know February is leap year month and we are celebrating it with a covered dish buffet?  Please bring your favorite salad, casserole or dessert to share.  We welcome back James Corrente, an outstanding  pianist who also tells interesting stories of  the music he performs.

Looking ahead to March, Kirk Maurer, who plays several instruments, will be with us.

Once again, we invite all 50+ fun loving active adults to join us the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 12 Noon in the Fellowship Hall (the 2nd Tuesday in December).  Come, enjoy Christian fellowship around the table and invite a friend or neighbor to share it with you.  For reservations call Mary A. Hershey 215-793-4019 or Stan Tippett 215-643-2871.

Everyone at OEPC is  invited to join us on our Spring Trip on May 15, to see the production of "The Story of Jonah" (will there be a real Whale on stage?) at the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA.  In addition, we will enjoy a delicious family-style dinner at the Hershey Farm.  The total cost including deluxe coach transportation is only $80.  What are you waiting for, make your reservations now before it is too late!  (Make checks payable to OEPC Sr. Fellowship).

SOUP FOR THE SOUL
Wednesday nights @6:30PM
February 22-March 28

“Soup for the Soul” is a weekly gathering of the congregation at the Oreland Evangelical Presbyterian Church for a time of study, reflection, and fellowship during the season leading up to Easter, known as Lent. It is held on Wednesday evenings, begins with a soup and sandwich supper at 6:30 PM, and includes a study time at 7:15 PM, ends by 8:00PM. Children are welcome. Families eat together. Child care is provided during the study time.  The study, led by Pastor Jim is:
“The Life of God’s Adopted Children”
In both wonderful and weird ways, people today claim to be “children of God.” What does that really mean? It does not describe everyone; it is particular to the Christian. But do Christians know and practice what it means? J. I Packer notes, “If you want to judge how well a person understands Christianity, find out how much he makes of the thought of being God’s child, and having God as his Father. If this is not the thought that prompts and controls … his whole outlook on life, it means that he does not understand Christianity very well.”
