Do you feel discouraged by how often you make mistakes and continually fail in the battle against sin? Do you want to learn more about how you can conquer the sin in your life through the power of the Holy Spirit? If so, come out and hear Pastor Jim Farrell share the message, “Don’t Just Be Mortified by Your Sin, Mortify It!” Although every Christian sins, and we ought to be ashamed of it, there’s more. We should and we can mortify it. Paul wrote that believers in Christ have died to sin (Romans 6:1-4). Yet, he still acknowledged an ongoing war with it—For I do not do the good I want, but the evil I do not want is what I keep on doing (Romans 7:19). The reality of the battle is not reason to give in, or give up. Our study will consider this topic from the scripture and with the help of a book entitled: Killing Sin Habits: Conquering Sin with Radical Faith, by Stuart Scott. Bring your Bible, and let’s make an assault on sin during this Lenten season!
