Full Name: Beth Jenkins
Position: Organist/Pianist, Director of Music Ministry
Family: Married Bill Jenkins in 1985 and have been blessed with 4 children: Evelyn Grace (19), Benjamin David(18), Peter William(13) and Sharon Rose(10). We currently live in Oreland and are members of New Life Presbyterian Church in Ft. Washington. I first came to know Jesus as Lord and Saviour at age 9.
A little background information:
I grew up in North Hills and graduated from Abington HS. After taking piano and violin lessons from a former OPC member, Margaret Russell, I spent 2 years at Covenant College (Lookout Mountain, TN) as a Music Education Major while serving as Organist/Accompanist at Lookout Mountain Pres. I moved on to graduate from the Wheaton Conservatory of Music (Wheaton, IL) with a Bachelor of Music in Organ and sang with and served the Womens' Glee Club as organ accompanist and played violin in the orchestra.
My previous experiences have included: serving Covenant Presbyterian (PCA) in Naples, FL as full-time music director for two years; completed a 2-year masters degree program in Church Music and Organ at Westminster Choir College (Princeton, NJ) while serving All Saints Episcopal Church (Princeton) as Organist/Accompanist and childrens' choir director.
After moving back to the area, I have served various other churches in music ministry, including: Christ RP Church (Oreland), Chelten Baptist (Dresher), First Baptist (Lansdale), Lansdale Presbyterian (PCA), Covenant Presbyterian (PCA; Harleysville) and Christ Church (PCA; Doylestown).
