In Our Church
Servants are needed to provide and serve refreshments during fellowship 3 times per year. (You will not need to prepare the coffee). Please help us keep the coffee flowing and the snacks coming without interruptions. Contact: Brenda Hoster.
Donate Altar Flowers
Use the flower donation envelopes located at both entrances to contribute flowers for a Sunday morning. Contact a deacon if you know of a member who would especially enjoy receiving these flowers.
OEPC Greeters warmly and cheerfully greet members and visitors as they enter the church before worship. Greeters are needed for both entrances to the sancuary (Church Rd and Papermill Rd) at Sunday morning worship. Contact: Ann Bray
Volunteers serve as part of OEPC's Media Ministry Team to help enhance worship through operating the video screens and sound system during services and special events. No experience needed. Training provided. Contact: Darryl Hummel
The Music Programs offer opportunity for training and participation in worshipping our Lord in song. New members are always welcome! Click here to visit the music ministry page. Contact: Beth Jenkins.
Nursery & Junior Church Servants
Sign up to serve the youngest members (& visitors) of our congregation. Two childcare servants are needed in each time slot. Background clearances and training are required. Contact: Emily Fantuzzo.
Openers & Closers
Church openers and closers open the church doors before services and lock up after the services each Sunday. Servants are on a rotating schedule and are usually only required to serve 6 to 7 times a year. Contact: Rebecca Piranian.
Ushers hand out bulletins, take attendance, and collect the offering for the 10AM service and the 6:30PM Vespers service. Training is available. Contact: Caroline Cox
Card Caring Ministry
Through the Card Caring Ministry greeting cards and a list of suggested card recipients are posted (in baskets) outside the church sanctuary entrances so that members can choose a card and send to any one or more member(s). Service Opportunity: Pick up a greeting card and send it out to brighten another church member's day.
Would you like to provide a meal (or meals) for families during a time of illness or life changing event, such as the birth of a baby or death of a family member? If so, please contact the church office to be added to the list.
TLC Members are church members for which we want to provide special care (e.g. ill, shut-in, bereaved). Service Opportunity: Notify the office when a member is in need of special care, visit with members whom you have noticed missing from church worship services.
We rely on volunteers to keep our sanctuary neat and orderly for members and visitors each week. Sanctuary care helpers put the coming Sunday's date in the Friendship Pad, straighten the Pew Bibles, hymnals, and envelopes, and discard any remaining bulletins or other trash. If you are willing to serve the church in this way, please contact the office to be added to the schedule.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving." -Colossians 3:23-24
